The Karachi Port handled 137,798 tonnes of cargo including 105,940 tonnes import and 31,858 tonnes export inclusive of 5,970 containers, during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 59,273 tonnes dry cargo including 56,273 tonnes general cargo; 2,750 tonnes R/Phosphate and 78,525 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Oranje, Asian Trader, Iran Baabaei, Golden Gion, Rio Rubio, Tai He and Apl Pusan sailed out to sea during the report period.

Three vessels viz Hyundai Future, YM Star and Olympic are currently at the berths.

Five ships namely Thor Captain, M T Johar, YM Star, Atlantica and Hyundai Future expected to sail on Thursday.

Five vessels viz Golden Glory, Adhidaya, Kota Tabah, Ponl Mahe and Wan Hai-262 are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 78,013 tonnes comprising 63,563 tonnes import and 14,450 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,086 containers, was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Thursday.

The cargo comprised of 6,194 tonnes chemicals; 7,300 tonnes edible oil; 32,123 tonnes diesel oil; 13,934 tonnes iron ore and 18,462 tonnes containerised cargo.

Six ships namely MT Bum Mi, Sinar Sabang, Chemstar Eagle, Chemstar Brave, Oranje and MV Chilbar are expected to sail on Thursday.

A total of three vessels viz KIA Al-Waleed, YA Samadu and Wilmington are currently at the outer anchorage.

Three ships namely KIA Al-Waleed, YA Samadu and Wilmington due to take berths on Thursday.
